McIntire to do Comcast On Demand
Pittsburgh:John McIntire, the former host of "NightTalk" on PCNC and a panelist on WQED's "Off-Q" is launching a new talk show on Comcast's On Demand feature. The first edition of "The John McIntire Show" will be available on Thursday.
McIntire says in his blog that the program is not going to be political, rather more entertaining, "although I suppose that remains to be seen." The first episode features comedian Gab Bonesso (who also dates McIntire) as his sidekick, filmmaker Carl Kurlander and Cyril Wecht. It will also feature his "scintillating commentary" much like that which he did on "NightTalk".
A production schedule has not been determined, according to the Post-Gazette, but another episode is expected to be taped in March.

You have to give McIntyre credit. Despite having no discernable talent he always seems to be on television, radio, and in print. Fortunately for him, Bonesso as a sidekick make him seem less offensive.

It would help if McIntyre would do away with the love affair he had with Jimmy Krenn on the PCNC show he did.
BTW: Since when is criticizing Krenn a crime?

I suffered through half of it. Cyril Whect doing Douchebag jokes was more than I could take. I’d choose to be waterboarded over Johnny Mac.

Okay, call me a masochist, but I actually sat through it.
Boy did Johnny Mac age horribly! You can tell that he’s trying so hard to look young, but it only makes him look about 20 years older than what he is. When he was trying to look “hip and cool” by calling people douchebags, he looked even older. It’s like your mother or father saying the slang term that’s popular with people your age.
I will give the devil his due – the “Scintillating Commentary” was funny.
As for Gab – well, let’s just say that I think that Johnny Mac is her beard, if you smell what I’m cooking. No, her “I’m so sarcastic and above it all” act is not funny. If she needs tips on how to do a funny “I’m so sarcastic and above it all” act, she needs to learn a few things from Thai Rivera or Dennis Leary.
Lowest moment of the show – Cyril Wecht telling a douchebag joke that’s at least 30 years old.
