KDKA-TV News Director leaves

Pittsburgh:

KDKA-TV (2) News Director Colleen Marren is leaving the post after nine months to return to WTIC in Hartford, Connecticut to assume the same position there. It's a job she held during the early 1990s and it will allow her to be closer to her family. Anne Linaberger, assistant news director, will fill in while a search is made for a new applicant.

Marren tells the Post-Gazette, "I feel very good about what we've accomplished as a team here. It's very hard to leave. This is a great American city, but the only one thing that's going to trump that is going home."
