Dish Network vs. Fox

National News: Well here we go again, looks like Fox has blocked access to the Regional Fox Sports Network channels as well as FX and The National Geographic channels to Dish Network customers. This is due to a rate increase that Fox Sports is asking for from Dish and they are asking viewers to call Fox Sports directly to stop the rate increase that could raise rates & give viewers less choices. This could be bad news with the NHL and NBA seasons almost ready to start. Regional networks impacted locally Fox Sports Ohio in most of Ohio. While this is going on, Dish will offer a few other sports channels for no additional fee until this dispute is settled. Note: Fox Sports Pittsburgh is not impacted since they are owned by Fox.

That’s good to hear. You would think one of the highest rated FSN channels would be affected but I’m glad that is not the case. Go PENS!

Fox Sports Net-Pittsburgh isn’t Fox-owned but part of Liberty Sports Networks.

Pat, that’s good news in this case. I see MSG is blocked on my Dish as well. A pro Fox site is saying that Fox & MyTV could be next on November 1st. Probably only Fox owned stations.

The MSG channel is a separate deal which had been on Dish along with Fox Pittsburgh & Cleveland’s Sports Time Ohio for Indians games.
